Taking your overly shy little girl to her first day of Kindergarten is torture. Pure torture.
She didn't want to get up, she didn't want to get dressed - she simply didn't want to go. She finally got excited for about 5 minutes until we walked into the school. Then it was sheer terror for her. I had to sneak away while the teacher's helper distracted her. I left just hoping she wouldn't come screaming down the hall after me. She has all day Kindergarten, so hopefully she'll change her mind about it quickly, otherwise she is in for a long day!
Here she is in the brief 5 minutes that she was excited...
And here's how the rest of the morning looked...
She survived! She loved every bit of it... But when I mentioned she gets to go back tomorrow she about had a melt down.
(She did take time to show me what all the hand signals are that you give your teacher in case you need to use the bathroom, get a drink, or have a question - love it)
Of course Jersi had to pose with her this morning
There she is on the far right
Her teacher, Mr Elliot
