And the Award Goes to...

I have overly hilarious kids. This month the award goes to Tate. His eyes were recently bothering him and he kept pulling on them, rubbing them, etc. Seriously, he would not leave them alone. The end result?? He has no lashes left!! His right eye is pretty much bald – and his left has only clumps left. What was he thinking? Those lashes must have been a serious bother!!! What a freakin crack up!! I took a picture but the lack of lashes doesn’t show up too well… I’ll post it anyways. (Take note; he used to have really long pretty eyelashes)

Zzzzzzzzzzz

There are days I get camera happy. And there are events that get me that way too. I love taking pictures of my kids sleeping. They're just so cute! And there's something about them being completely quiet... Here are a couple of sleeping pictures... In no particular order...

This Just In...

Dayton walked to me! Okay, so it was a couple days ago but still. It was amazing - he was just standing there with no intentions of going anywhere and suddenly he pointed at me and walked my direction. ...It was only like 3 or 4 steps but that counts, right? Anywho, he performed this trick a few more times that day and now refuses to continue with the sport of walking. He wouldn't even allow me a decent picture!! Every once in a while he'll take steps without thinking, but if he stops to think about it, he'll just crawl instead. Anyways - there is the latest news. Now you have it. I'll get back to blogging all the thousands of other topics later. Gotta go eat some chips.

Little Gizmo

Oh my goodness, I am so upset - I had a huge ol' post typed up, and suddenly it's gone, seriously, gone. - Here is the shortened version... or what I remember of it:
Dayton turned 1 on July 10th. (Yes I am aware that was now like 10 days ago or something, but I've been overwhelmingly busy, but I'm here now)
Being the perfectly wonderful mom that I am, Dayton has not yet received his birthday cake to stuff his face with... but I promise that time will come and I will add pictures...

In the meantime here are some tidbits on the Little Gizmo (in no particular order):

*Tona loves to point at anything and everything! And in order to point he has to stretch his arm all the way out and then poke out his pointing finger.
*He's drumming everything - he even put a bruise beneath Oaklee's eye and added a bruise to Kamron's elbow with the drumsticks to my Rockband game... For his birthday I gave him a drum. His new drum has drum sticks attached so he cannot hurt much with them while on his wild drumming tangents...
*Stairs... the very day of his birthday, he climbed the stairs at his grandpa Row's house. Not just one or two stairs either, a whole flight!! Now he climbs on or over Everything in sight, His favorite right now is Oaklee's toddler bed. And getting down? No problem!! He just nose dives to the floor and crawls away. He also has this incredible new stunt he performs. He climbs on top of the big ol box of diapers and balances on all fours. He gets really upset if anyone tries to move him, until he's ready to get down and then he gets mighty upset if you're not trying to move him.
*He has some loud mouth scream-ish blabbering that he thinks is just him jumping in on the conversations around here... Hilarious!!
*Two teeth. That's it. How does he chew his food? No idea, but somehow the little piglet finds a way. (And he eats everything in sight. I think he may eat more than Oaklee these days, and I know for a fact he's got Kyndi beat)
*Dancing maniac. Simply say the words "Dance baby" and he'll be groovin to his own beat. Head banging, full body maneuvers, hands spastically flying through the air.. and at times he'll shake his head side to side as quickly as possible - its a show you gotta see! The other day we even caught him jamming out to a car alarm.
*Stands unassisted in the middle of the room (or wherever he desires) He has no intentions of moving anywhere from that point, but he seems to rather enjoy standing.
*One thing to avoid with Little Dude around - do not just up and decide to lay on the floor. He will crawl as fast as possible to you and attack....
And, Here are some pictures:
Little guy spent some time in the NICU - lack of lung development - he was straining really hard to breathe. Spent a week there.

Take a gander at these ginormous feet he had/has - This is why I call him Kermit the frog, he has flippers at the ends of his legs!!

Oaklee's first time ever seeing him
At 2 months old he landed his bum back in the hospital for 3 days on account of pneumonia
My favorite face he used to pull

Better Late than Never... Right??

So life (school, work, etc) has drastically gotten in the way of my blogging lately. For that I give my biggest apologies, and especially to my mother who phoned me twice in the past week and reminded me that I am very behind in my blogging and she's tired of seeing the same screen everytime she logs on... so here you go mom!

The 4th of July... really I don't know that there's all that much to say - but I do have some super cute pictures you can all admire for a bit...

Oh - something I do not have pictures of... Tsy-a-Roni and Moe were in the Freedom Festival Parade with their friends. They were banner holders. And like previously mentioned, I don't have pictures of this event. Maybe I'm a bad mom for that, but here is my reasoning... You ever been there?? One word: CROWDED!! It was so over abundantly populated we could barely even see the parade. Madness I tell you. In fact, I never even saw Tyson walk past us! I did see Morrissa though and Gizmo and I ran up and waved to her. She looked 100% miserable. It was a scorcher outside (and apparently she had hurt her ankle at some point)

We attended a Hypnotist show at the Freedom Festival. I've never witnessed a hypnotist in action before, but this was crazy! The was he got them to "sleep" Freaked me right the heck out. And in the midst of a show he had a 19 year old-ish guy literally crying while announcing to us that he is a woman trapped in a guys body. Hilarious no?

...Just as a side note... I was quite disappointed in the fire works... We go and sit on the BYU campus (near the Bean Museum) to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks. blah. They were so boring this year. And at the very beginning they lit like 12 fireworks and then stopped for a good 10 minutes. It was the weirdest thing!! People even started leaving thinking the show was over. For those who accidentally left early, they didn't miss much. It seriously was a no-good-show. Must've been major firework budget cuts or something.

Well there you have it. Our 4th of July. Now I gotta get around to blogging about the 24th.

...A few more pictures for your enjoyment...

Kyndi and Tate weren't with us for the 4th - but this is Kyndi posing a few days prior in some funky patriotic hat at Kmart.

Tyson and Morrissa each took a turn bouncing on this crazy thing at the festival. Morrissa got sick to her stomach and asked to get off so she didn't get a very long turn.
