This is Oak's family tree hanging on the wall outside her classroom.
And here is Kamron, completely devoted to his P90x.  He does amazing at this

October FB

My sweet 7 year old Kyndi just informed me that "Working out sure does make her gassy". Wow Kyndi, wow.

Yesterday Jersi was putting stickers all over me - as she placed each one she'd say "Dis one prettier dan you" - she started that up again this morning and when Dayton overheard what she was actually saying he tried to make me feel better, "Don't worry mom, what she really means is the sticker is a little uglier than you are." um... thanks?

You know you spend far too much time looking at house plans when your 4 year old can point out all the stairs, bathrooms, and kitchens; and the 2 year old shows you where all the "toyets" are!

I just called Dayton a lazy butt and Jersi said"he not hazy butt, he hairy butt!"

Kyndi (7 yrs old) wrote me a poem:

Mom I love you to pieces
you are the thing that lights up my day
When you leave I start to cry cous I miss you so much
I love you like donuts falling out of the sky

Conversation on mine and Jersi's drive home from Davis County:
"....Is Morrissa your sister?" "Ya" "is Oaklee your sister? "Ya""Is Tyson your brother?" "Ya" "Is Tate your brother?" "No! Him my best friend!!"
A little bit later on the drive I was singing the ABC's I got to "Q,R,S" and Jersi interrupted me - "No mommy! 4, 5, x!"

"I'm funny, show mines gramma"

"Wear these to yours work mommy"

"Look at me mommy, I fithee" (fishy)

Halloween Prologue

The Saturday prior to Halloween there is a Main Street trick-or-treat in Spanish Fork.  Translation: Super crowded side walks on both sides of main street while store owners hand out candy to each costumed child.

A few pictures of said event, kinda boring, but here they are.

Jersi was TERRIFIED of this Elmo!  She practically jumped into my arms and refused to continue trick or treating after this.

Halloween Ending

Trick or treating is so much fun with little kids!  Jersi however is terrified of masks and scary things, so trick or treating for her started out a wee bit nervous.  She LOVED wearing her costume - she hated having to see others in masks and "dary" costumes.   Take Jersi's fear of scary things and put it up against her intense love for all things edible... which one wins?   I think she trick or treated at about 5 houses.  Then she was done.

Dayton loved this - he ran from house to house loving everything about it.  Oaks was quietly enjoying herself (being the shy girl that she is) - and Kyndi lead the pack.  When all the Littles were tired of trick or treating, Kyndi was just starting.  Oaks ended up too tired, Jersi just wanted her treats, and Dayton got a bloody nose.  Bring on end of the trick or treating.  Except for Kyndi who ventured off and did her own trick or treating in the neighborhood.

I ended up going in to work at Discovery Ranch to make sure our sub was okay and to finish up the workload and lock up.  It was hilariously fun being at work in costume!

Halloween Chapter 2

Thank goodness for warm weather!!  Unfortunately Tate left with a friend before I got a group shot, and Tyson was at work. Bummed me out... but here's the rest of us - oh wait, Dayton was supposed to be Buzz Lightyear this year, but after wearing it he chose to change to a dragon (a costume he found in the Halloween box) - Okay, onto pictures:

Take 1 (Without Dayton's costume zipped)

Take 2 (Got it zipped)

Dayton shown here as Buzz Lightyear

Halloween Chapter 1

I love Halloween!  Granted, it takes an effort to get 9 costumes and all - and then the night of, getting everyone dressed and make-upped, etc. fits the definition of chaos to a tee - BUT it's so much fun!

Dayton, Jersi and I started our day by attending a Halloween festivity at Discovery Ranch (we all three were in costume) - all the (60+) kids were dressed up in various costumes, and they did a fashion shows!!  Even the boys participated.  Loved it!
After the fashion show we headed over to watch them do an obstacle course complete with leaping over hay bales, bobbing for apples, and lasso-ing a fake horse.... While watching the fun I was touched and amazed by how sweet all these "troubled" kids were with my two littles.  One boy picked flowers for Jersi, and another offered Dayton his toy sword to play with.  Dayton was super shy but Jersi did her best to learn all their names.  The kids seemed to have fun until one of the cows leaned through the fence and started chomping on Jersi.  She was a wee bit skiddish after that.  (Hilarious though, right?)

After the Ranch we headed to the Elementary School Costume Parade...

Jersi and More Jersi

This girl loves the camera!  Especially the one on my phone - she always turns it on and then asks for her picture to be taken.

Masquerade

Tyson was invited to the Masquerade (Halloween) dance! (Cute)

I wasn't home when his date picked him up (in fact I am not even sure of her name) - but Kamron was nice enough to get a quick picture for me:

I seriously can't believe I have a kid this old!

Little Gus Man

Wanna see how cute my nephew Atticus is??
Cutest kid ever, right? (And that bottom left is definitely an imitation of his grandpa Steve)

The Pumpkin Carve or Color

It was that time again - pumpkin time.  I gave the kids the option to paint or carve their pumpkins.  It was a wee bit chilly outside that night so most of them opted to paint as a quicker option.  Tate carved (With Kamron's assistance)  (And Tyson was at work.  Blah, so crumby to hafta work and miss stuff at his age)
