29 Three Times Over

I was awoken at the bright and early hour of 11 AM on my birthday to a bunch of kids bringing me these (the candles were lit - no worries, Kamron lit them)
And this little cake too (Kyndi and Tate learned to make these little cakes in the microwave with just a couple tablespoons of cake mix and some water...
I let Kamron eat the cake for me (weevil phobia issues...)  He apparently didn't want to share with Jersi:
He changed his mind:
My exciting Birthday presents...  (A fantastic bag handmade by my best peep, Christy; a bracelet handmade by my very own Morrissa; and two tickets to Wicked!!! )
Lets get a closer look at those tickets...  My mom apparently scalped them for me.  I am SO excited!!  August 4th can't come fast enough!!
The story behind my new favorite bag...
The day before my birthday I called Christy up to see what she was up to...
"just watchin tv"
"Kamron and I are gonna head over and fix your door"
"In this heat?"
"Well ya"
"Um, maybe come tonight instead"
"We're going fishing tonight"
"Oh, well, maybe come tomorrow or something"
"uh, ok"
"I'm just watching a really good show and just kinda want to hang out here by myself for a while"
"......ok...."

The conversation ended and I felt rejected.  My own BP just turned my down?!?! What did I do to offend her? Is she mad at me? What is going on? Maybe she's just sick of me... Completely weird situation. Never heard another word from her.

...Skip to 8:00 that night... Kamron had taken the kids (except Jersi) to Trafalga...Christy texted me to see if I wanted to come over for a bit... Apparently she's not mad at me any more... Jersi and I headed on over.  (Christy is Jersi's best friend by the way)
Come to find out, she wasn't mad at me at all - she just rejected me so she could sit all day long and crochet my new bag!! Without me ruining my surprise!  I love it!!  (And for the record, she said she felt horrible about rejecting me. So funny)

Jersi apparently loved it too! She put her feet in, pulled the straps over her shoulders and then took off wearing it.  Funny girl.  She knew she was hilarious too.  She started showing off. Hilarious.

Anywho - Kamron cooked hotdogs for the kids and Steak for he and I for dinner.  It was a great time!  Happy 29th to me again!

P.S. My total cute ladies (the "pageant queens") at work had a cake for me at work the next day. Love them!!

Little Boy Fishin'

My cute little Dayton went fishing with Kamron and me this week.  This is an easy, relaxing, cheap date that Kamron and I often enjoy.

We didn't catch anything. But Dayton was thrilled to just hold the pole once I had cast it out there. (and yes, he may or may not be wearing his sister's shirt...)

...A few days later...
Kamron took the kids to the reservoir to swim while he fished.
Dayton and Oaks both got to reel one in...

(That unfortunate black mark on each picture is actually a scratch on the camera of Kamron's phone)
Dayton was Overjoyed to eat a fish, so Kamron (who usually lets the fish go) brought them home and bbq'd them up.  Suddenly Dayton and Oaklee didn't want to eat them because they "have bones"  Cute kids!

Aspen Loves the Puppies

Aspen does pretty well with the teeny tiny puppies.  Aspen is still a (HUGE) puppy herself, so she loves to puppy-play.  But she is very gentle with these little guys...
Here she is playing with Latte (the tiniest of the puppies) - and Latte was playing back too.  (Momma Berklie was struggling with Aspen being near her baby...)

Gus on the First Day of Summer

My cousin Becca got married that day, and whilst Sharli was at the temple ceremony - I got to watch little man Gus!

He's seriously WAY too cute!!

I love him so much!!

First Day of Summer 2012

Our morning in pictures (starting at 6 AM) (with a little commentary too)

Here are the birds before the zoom in

Cheese!!

This is a picture the tracker took from the ground.  That's us in that balloon!
Here we are again!!

I love this picture of our balloon!
We're the balloon on the top right
That's our tracker guy on the ground as we come in for a landing...
Whoops! We landed in a not so good spot - Kamron had to jump out and help us cross the road
Don't you love his matching clothes?? (This must be where my kids get their sense of fashion from...)
These are the balloons still in the air after we had landed
Here Kamron is helping roll up the balloon.  What a stallion! (I think the balloon dudes appreciated his muscles!)
Here everyone is helping to pack the balloon back into the bag.  It was a crazy job!

Traditional toast after a successful flight (Apparently ALL balloon companies do this world wide)

I got off work early wednesday night, we got take out from Olive Garden and headed to the Best Western Landmark Inn in Park City. Fabulous hotel! Full breakfast buffet for free!  Loved it.  We did a lot of swimming at the indoor pool (and I even learned to swim!!)  We also spent lots of time in the hot tub.  It was a fantastic overnight getaway.  Much needed.

And this here has nothing to do with the balloon or hotel at all - it is a Happy Anniversary cake my girls made us. Cute kids.
