May FB Posts

Oaklee: Mom my brain just keeps on telling me I'm beautiful!

Jersi is playing with Oaklee's kitchen (Shhh don't tell Oaklee) - she comes in here and says "What you wanna erderr? We has Mickey Mouse Pickles or strawbays" I ordered one of each and then she says, "Erderr up!"

My 2 and a half year old Jersi is obsessed with numbers and math. "two of dese and five of dese is how many?" or "Derr is 4 of dem, 2 blue ones and 2 white ones" or "I will count dem backwards, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1" Seriously, this kid is going places!

Today Jersi was quietly playing with her doll. A few moments into playing she came and told me that she went shopping and bought her baby a new shirt, some shoes, two milks, and a juice. She also told me her baby's name is Donda and I am not allowed to hold her because I have sick germs.

Tate is such a cute boy. I've been sick, fever and all, and have spent a lot of time in bed. He was concerned over my food intake so he brought me some popcorn to help me feel better.

You know it is going to be a long day when the 2 year old wakes up into a temper-tantrum, and then less than an hour later is yelling at the wall (or a ghost?) "I telled you a million times Yeave me alone!"

Jersi is having a bad mood kind of day - she just stomped into my room and said, "Oh Ya? I not even gonna pay attention!!" Um, okay?

Long drive home from my mom's tonight. Two kids crying at the top of their lungs until 7200 south (one (Jersi) because she forgot to finish drinking her water at grandma's - and the other (Oaklee) because she misses Grandpa Joe) - and then suddenly Tate broke into song in his sleep - hilarious!!!

Dayton just realized I have 2 sisters and two brothers, he told me "um mom, you don't have enough sisters or brothers in your family"

I just heard Tyson exclaim, "Cleaning the bathroom is my favorite hobby!"

When a 2 and a half year old is super duper jealous of her sister's brand new play kitchen, what does she do? Poops in the fridge of course! Seriously. Anyone up for purchasing a small child?

Mr Tyson

Happy 17th birthday to Tyson!!

He recently switched schools and now attends American leadership Academy (well, did until summer came) He seems to like it far better there and is excited to start football with them during the summer.

We rarely see this kiddo around here.  He sleeps a lot, works a lot, and hangs out a lot.  Typical teenage boy.  All around a pretty good boy!

All the ladies are after him - even some of Morrissa's friends come over and end up hanging out with Tyson... (To Morrissa's dismay)

I sure love him!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend was tons of fun.  I was pretty sick with a massive sore throat and such, but we still had lots of fun.

We learned that Krispe Kreme gives out donuts for good grades - one for each A on their report card. (Tate, Kyndi, and Oaks practically all had straight A's)

The kiddos locked my keys in the car on my driveway

Kamron took all the kids (and the dogs) hiking (twice).  Jersi and I stayed home and relaxed.  We hung out in the front yard, relaxin on a blanket - and even went to get a shake.

Aspen wanted a chance on teh trampoline - you should have heard the screams!
Jersi was catching all sorts of bugs for me - even the microscopic "ladybug" on her thumb!

She is so much fun to hang out with!

Burn!

Tate and Dayton share a room - Dayton has been scared of the dark lately.  Tate, being the good brother that he is, found a nightlight and plugged it in for Dayton.  What I wasn't aware of was that he plugged it into an extension cord and put it on Dayton's bed.  Sadly, Dayton rolled over on the bulb in the night - his skin pretty much melted.  It was so burned he didn't even experience pain in it until the next day.
Poor Tater felt so bad!

6th Grade Graduation

Tate is officially done with 6th grade - bring on junior high (yikes)
Such a cute kid.
I took a picture of him with his special needs friend Robert, because the poor kid had no one there to support him - and his friend Christian (on the right) also joined him for the picture.
The top left he is picture with his two teachers Mendenhall and Stauffer
Love this boy! So grown up!

Kyndi's End of the Year

Kyndi's end of the year program (her end of 2nd grade)
Her teacher was Miss Palmer
She got a lot of awards for top of her class in spelling, math and a few other subjects as well. (She was one of the few who moved on to multiplication facts, and in spelling tests she only missed 1 word the whole year!!) Fantastic!
Um, she wanted to wear the pink dress, I told her she had to wear a shirt under it - apparently this meant a turtleneck!
The bottom left picture shows her two best friends, Catie and Katelyn (on opposite ends of the picture)
The picture above that is her with her friend Elizabeth

Kids are Characters!

After getting the Caricature done for Mothers Day of Kamron & I - I decided it would be fabulous to have a tn of caricatures to fill a wall when we eventually have a new house...  So I set out to get some, and i LOVE them!

My favorite thing about this one is that Jersi is missing a shoe!
 Kava and Aspen
I asked this lady to draw the girls as princesses and boys as athletes.  Tyson is football, Tate, basketball, and Dayton is a baseball player.  I love Oak's teeth here!

Kindergarten Graduation

My sweet shy little Oaks graduated Kindergarten!  She is still so super shy - she barely made any movements in the songs they performed, and she sang probably as quietly as she could.

The best part??  Her walking onto the stage with her dress tucked into her underwear!

Love this sweeheart!!

In this collage... her teacher Mr. Elliot.  The teacher's aid that she absolutely adored.  Pictures from the slide show.  The boy sitting next to her is the boy she is in love with (Carter, the teacher's son).

...You may need to click on the collage to get it big enough to see.

My Grandpa Joe

On Oaklee's birthday she asked to go see grandpa Joe again... we had just been to see him less than a week prior - but she wanted to see him again.  I checked her and Tyson out of school to see him again (the other Littles came too)  He has gone down hill quickly.  He knows he is ready to die soon.  He was laying there, barely moving, most things he said were hardly audible, but when I told him I love him, he said "love you too"  I love him so much.  He has been my grandpa for 20 years, the same amount of time my Grandpa Williams was my grandpa.  Grandpa Joe is fantastic.  I will be sad when he dies.

A few days prior to this visit, we knew he didn't have much longer to live so we loaded up to go see him.  He had outgrown his dentures so they were in a cup at the sink.  The Littles found them and thought it was so funny.  Morrissa and Tyson were unable to go that time.

My Grandpa Joe died on May 2nd.  I will miss that man.  Honestly, one of my most favorite people ever.

At the viewing I was worried over how my kids would take seeing him in the casket.  They all handled it very well.  In fact Jersi kept asking to go touch him. She'd put her hand on his and say "Yuv you dranpa Joe" Poor Tate had a much more difficult time.  He sat on the couch much of the time and sobbed.  He is such a tender hearted kid.

Dayton's middle name is Talmage named after my Grandpa Joe (whose middle name is Talmage).  At the funeral Joe's son Kelly even mentioned Dayton by name saying "there's even a grandson named Talmage!"

At the graveside he got a 21 gun solute - except it wasn't 21, it was some other number - but still, it was awesome.  (I even got to keep one of the shotgun shells)

I'll miss my Grandpa Joe.  One of the most fantastical men I've ever known.
