Factory-store

So let me just try to explain the game my Littles are playing... I'm bundled in a blanket on the couch working on homework and they are kneeling on the wood floor, kneeling up to the couch (make sense?) Apparently this serves as some sort of factory/store – I can order anything I want and within seconds it is tossed my direction. I'm certain many kids play a similar game to this – but here are the highlights for me... Dayton was telling me a menu of items available for my purchase – the list was something like this:

"We have cookies, broccoli, treats, candy bars, lemonade, ice cream and spaghetti. Oh, and balloons, what do you want? "

I selected ice cream and was promptly told (by Oaklee) that it'll be “16 bucks” When informed her I have no money, Dayton piped up with, “I'll hurry and go to Walmart and buy you some more money!”

Another list Dayton was giving me included Watermelon but he couldn't quite remember the word or figure out how to say it: “we have mellymelly, I mean wallymiller, no, what is that?” “Watermelon?” “Ya, Wawermelom”.
Every time I place an order for anything (food or not) Dayton types it into a computer and it just pops it right out for me.

Oaklee is very stingy on her prices – and every time I pay her for my merchandise she declares, “yes! I'm more rich!”

We went to the airport to see him.  Oaklee latched on and wouldn't lt go.

I'm so glad he's home. I missed him.  He's just so cute.

Kamron specifically built the dogs (Champ and Berklie) a dog house bog enough for both of them to fit in together... and yet here they are, shivering on the back porch. 

Case of the Vanishing Pumpkins

A few weeks back, the wind was blowin pretty good and kept blowing the snow-preventing tarp off the rabbit cage.  Kamron needed something heavy to hold the tarp down.  Pumpkins did the job!

The pumpkins recently started rapidly shrinking...   Kamron discovered, the rabbit had found them.  Apparently the rabbits chewed right throught the tarp and were eating the pumpkins..  I thought it was funny.  Kamron is not so pleased about his tarp.

Then...

 A week or so later

 Barely a shell left...

And actually now the pumpkins are completely gone.

D.A.R.E.

Tate recently graduated from his D.A.R.E. program at school.  He was so proud.  And since Kamron got to be there, he was even more excited!

Left-overs

Sorry folks - there'll be no left over pie.  I was upstairs doing homework, everybody else apparently left to go out and play football (without me knowing) - everybody except Jersi that is.  I heard her voice and went searching - this is where I found her...

Thanksgiving

So... very few are aware that on the 16th of November, Kamron got laid off.  We're getting pretty tired of this unemployment game we play far too often...  I fell right into panic mode and all that jazz....

Fast forward to the day before Thanksgiving...   Morrissa went out to feed the rabbits and came back upstairs to ask, "Why is there food on our porch? Lots of food..."   Kamron and I went down to see what her definition of "lots of food" was.
 Sure enough - a whole Thanksgiving dinner.  Turkey, rolls, potatoes, butter, Stovetop Stuffing, two pies, corn, two kinds of cranberries, jello, root beer, and even sandwich buns and deli ham.  Fantastic!! I have no clue who left it, but it made me all emotional.  Hardly anyone even knew we were struggling.  It really was one of those heart touching things and I am so grateful.

Now fast forward a few hours...  Kamron had offered to cook the turkey and even seemed thrilled about it.  BUT he didn't want to get up eearly the following morning to get it in the oven, so he opted for cooking it the night before and then setting his alarm for 2:30 AM to take it out of the oven!  Getting up early to take it out kinda defeats the whole pupose of "not getting up early to cook it" doesn't it?? Funny guy!!

Thanksgiving day was relaxing and fun.  Tate and Kyndi were with Jeremy, and the rest of us all pitched in and made our dinner together.  I did potatoes and got all the little things ready (corn, cranberries, etc...). Morrissa made jello.  Tyson even figured out (after a bit of a struggle) how to make the stuffing. 

Dinner was fabulous.

Afterwards we played games with some serious hilariousness!

We played scattergories - the letter was A, the topic was "footwear" some typical answers may have been Adidas or ankle socks. Kamron wrote Athletes foot.
The letter: P.  The topic: things you wear. Tyson's answer: Panties. Oh really Tyson???
The letter: L. Topic: Things you play with.  Morrissa's answer: Lifegaurd.  Um.....

We had a very relaxing enjoyable day! Now, bring on the Christmas music!!!

Midnight

I think Hufflepuff had a disease when she arrived that spread and is causing others to die. 
My Midnight died a few days ago. I knew it was coming though. She was getting skinnier and skinnier. I was hand feeding her everyday and she was stll losing weight.  Poor girl.

I had just bathed and dressed Jersi and was working on homework... she wandered off and was far too quiet for my liking. I thought she probably found the treat stash in my closet. NOPE! This is where I found her! (and with a straw?)

When I get overwhelmed with homework and kids, and cleaning, and, well, life in general, I turn to crafting.  Thats why I made all of these things practically in the same week.
I also made another item that is my absolute favorite - but, seeing how I am gifting it to my mother for her birthday, I'll hafta refrain from posting a picture for now - but it's super cute and I love it!!  (Look for a post of it around the end of December...maybe early January)
I still have a ton of projects to complete between now and Christmas - I'll keep you posted on those too.
