I was awoken at the bright and early hour of 11 AM on my birthday to a bunch of kids bringing me these (the candles were lit - no worries, Kamron lit them)
And this little cake too (Kyndi and Tate learned to make these little cakes in the microwave with just a couple tablespoons of cake mix and some water...
I let Kamron eat the cake for me (weevil phobia issues...) He apparently didn't want to share with Jersi:
He changed his mind:
My exciting Birthday presents... (A fantastic bag handmade by my best peep, Christy; a bracelet handmade by my very own Morrissa; and two tickets to Wicked!!! )
Lets get a closer look at those tickets... My mom apparently scalped them for me. I am SO excited!! August 4th can't come fast enough!!
The story behind my new favorite bag...
The day before my birthday I called Christy up to see what she was up to...
"just watchin tv"
"Kamron and I are gonna head over and fix your door"
"In this heat?"
"Well ya"
"Um, maybe come tonight instead"
"We're going fishing tonight"
"Oh, well, maybe come tomorrow or something"
"uh, ok"
"I'm just watching a really good show and just kinda want to hang out here by myself for a while"
"......ok...."
The conversation ended and I felt rejected. My own BP just turned my down?!?! What did I do to offend her? Is she mad at me? What is going on? Maybe she's just sick of me... Completely weird situation. Never heard another word from her.
...Skip to 8:00 that night... Kamron had taken the kids (except Jersi) to Trafalga...Christy texted me to see if I wanted to come over for a bit... Apparently she's not mad at me any more... Jersi and I headed on over. (Christy is Jersi's best friend by the way)
Come to find out, she wasn't mad at me at all - she just rejected me so she could sit all day long and crochet my new bag!! Without me ruining my surprise! I love it!! (And for the record, she said she felt horrible about rejecting me. So funny)
Jersi apparently loved it too! She put her feet in, pulled the straps over her shoulders and then took off wearing it. Funny girl. She knew she was hilarious too. She started showing off. Hilarious.
Anywho - Kamron cooked hotdogs for the kids and Steak for he and I for dinner. It was a great time! Happy 29th to me again!
P.S. My total cute ladies (the "pageant queens") at work had a cake for me at work the next day. Love them!!
