The Countdown Has Begun

The first day of school is rapidly approaching... Only one week to go. (Woohoo!) And secretly I am thrilled! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my kids, but 6 of them at home all day everyday for three months straight becomes mom-pulling-her-hair-out-chaos everyday!!! (Not to mention Kamron has been home all those days too, unemployed…)
Tyson is going into the 8th grade. Tate and I went with him to school registration a few days ago. He got his class schedule and his locker assignment. We went around and made sure he knew where all his classes were. The whole time we were there we kept asking him if this girl was cute, or that girl… or “Hey Tyson what about the purple shirt to your right?” “The blondie straight ahead?” Every tease was generally answered by a shy embarrassed “no” Cute kid.
Tate is another story. We went to his school registration last week (and Morrissa too) Tate loudly said hello to everyone he saw, even the girls. When asked if he thinks they’re cute we get a really loud obnoxious “NO” something tells me that answer was not always the case… Tate’s teacher this year is Miss Jordan. He seems excited about that, especially since he learned his friend Hunter will be in his class too.
Morrissa’s teacher is Mrs. Cooper. She was hoping for Mister Somethingerother (Can’t remember his name). She said she wanted him because he’s nice, then I saw a picture of him… he’s young and cute-ish…I think secretly she thinks he’s cute. (She’s going through that phase right now… Currently she’s head over hills in love with the Jonas Brothers) Anywho, she got Mrs. Cooper and was originally bummed, but her good friend Jessica is in her class so she seems to be excited now. (Plus she’ll most likely see Mr. Somethingerother everyday anyways, right?)
