Long Time No See

It's been too many days without new pictures of Jersi
(and here's a few of Oaklee too) (sidenote: I don't think Jersi looks so much like Oaklee anymore. She really used to - but its like she's outgrown that look already)This picture makes her carseat look like it is of epic proportions!
Um...this is what she got dressed in to play outside yesterday...
Oaks

Jersi

Oaks and Jersi (her undies cracks me up!!)

Jersi

Oaks loves Jersi so much she totally tolerates her screaming

She has a dimple... (and she's doing her kissy-face that I love so much)

Little Miss Muffet

Oaklee was sitting in my room helping me with laundry and other such things. She started complaining that her hand hurt and within minutes it was as swollen as it could possibly get - spider bite?? No idea. It stayed swollen for two days (I even tried Benadryl and it did nothing.) weird.
Picture is kinda hard to see, but here is her hand: (and a total cute baby in the background)

Seriously, 2 Minutes!!

So Dayton, Oaklee and Kyndi were all in my room and left together in a search for the other kids... they were gone all of 2 minutes, and Kyndi comes back to my room to report this:

If you cannot tell what this is, it is chewed up gum completely covering his hands, belly and diaper, and one hand is stuck right to his belly- it's covering him in web-like fashion (picture running into a giant spider web and having it stick to our body). How is this done in 2 minutes folks?! Where did the gum even come from? This child gives me a run for my money every second of the day. Fortunately for me he didn't try connecting his hands to his hair.

Mr Muscles

Kamron and Tyson very oftenly spend time at nights lifting weights in the basement. Dayton tries his best to get downstairs with them too. On one particular day Kamron came upstairs to retrieve me telling me I needed to come see something, and bring my camera. I obeyed.

No idea how this is upside down...

And of course Oaklee had to have her turn in the spotlight...

Drivin' Along in My Automobile

My poor Car... Actually, poor Kamron. A week ago or so (maybe closer to a week and a half) Kamron and Tyson were headed home from somewhere and right before they reached our house my Neon (which I bought when I was 18 - don't do the math..) up and died. It'd turn over but not start. They pushed it the rest of the way home and into the driveway. Seeing how this is Kamron's mode of transportation to and from work in Sandy everyday, he set to work right away trying to find the problem. From everything he read online it seemed something was some how wrong with the fuel pump - or parts therein. He took it all apart underneath and picked up some parts at the junkyard and replaced the fuel regulator. No success there. He did further research and did some checking and found that the fuel fuse was blown - and that every time he put a new one in it blew again. Crazy - so it must be the wiring somewhere, right? Problem is the wiring is up underneath the car in an unreachable location. He ended up taking out the back seat and the drivers seat and the flooring to find the wire that was to blame... He worked on this off and on for days (in the meantime we had a baby and he had to use the suburban to get back and forth to work) It was driving him crazy that he couldn't find the blasted wire that was causing him all the grief. Finally in total exasperation, he gave in and towed it to a repair shop for an official diagnosis.
Turns out, there's a short in the alternator wiring. What? That's crazy! He just replaced the alternator 6 months ago - so hopefully there's still a warranty on it. Poor guy. all that time spent and it had nothing to do with the fuel pump. I'm proud of his persistence though.

Here it is with no driver seat - Kamron is sitting on the floor of the car.

Lost Pictures

Here are some pictures of Jersi-Bell from the day she was born... don't know how these didn't make it to the original post...

Pudding Monster

Recently all of the kids were at the free summer movie at the local theater. Dayton and I were home together (Jersi had not yet made her appearance) I decided making a box of pudding would be a great idea. My sister Sharli called as I was finishing it up and as I got distracted talking to her, I turned around and found this boy, doing this as fast as he could:

He ate a fairly good portion of it before I finally joined in and helped him finish it.

Doin the Elephant Walk

So when I had Tate, my sister Samantha was I think, 14. (mom, am I right?) His nursery was a total jungle theme - and Samantha painted this picture for me and had it framed. I've always loved it - I recently found it in my cedar chest and just thought I'd pay tribute to her work of art by posting it right here on my blog... (I'll hafta send her a copy of this blog page since she is currently serving a mission in Arizona...)

I Have Two Little Hands

Jersi is obsessed with her hands by her face when she sleeps. Case in point:

Picture Perfect

Picture Randomness...

Put Dayton down for a nap, a few minutes later found him sound asleep like this:
Playing Wii (left to right: Moe, Anna, Kyndi, Dayton, Tyson)
Oaks at the feet of Moe from the previous picture
Morrissa and Anna (jonathan's baby girl)
Tate jamming on his guitar
Kyndi and Oaklee in boy form. (they think its hilarious to dress like boys)

There are 7 days, there are 7 days...

She's a week old already!! It's total madness. Seriously. In that amount of time she's managed to do some eating, some sleeping, some crying and some pooping. Impressive right?
I have found that she loves her swing - and she's such a midget in it.
Dayton has realized her name is Jersi and I love when he says it "Jurseez" (sometimes it even sounds like he says Jesus. He's so cute with her, and very protective, which is mostly cute but sometimes not so much. He'll yell at people and tell them off if they're touching her or looking at her without his permission. He even gets mad at me sometimes. Mostly hilarious.
Oaks loves her to death too - her and Dayton are constantly fighting over who gets to hold her. Oaklee is always telling me "she's so soft". When she says "Juhsee" It almost sounds like she actually has a Jersey accent.
Jersi makes alot of fun faces - but my two favorites are her kissy-face, she puckers her lips into a kiss and just hangs out like that for a while. My other fave is when she's sleeping she'll randomly sneak one eye open to peak out and then either shut it real quick or open them both. It's hilarious - like she's scoping out the room to see if she really wants to wake up or not. I love it. (sadly no pictures of either yet)
Adjusting to 8 kids is pretty ridiculously chaotic, but its working so far - I'm pretty sure they're all still alive... In fact I think they actually all got a bath/shower today, so that's a bonus.
I'm still not allowed to drive or do housework (bummer) or lift anything bigger than Jersi which causes me some grief at times... can't get Dayton in and out of bed,, can't pick him or Oaks up when they're having a rough day... and cannot go to the grocery store for something as simple as milk and that is driving me CRAZY!! Oh well. I'll enjoy the non-housework while I can!! And goo thing I have Game Show Network - to alleviate alot of my boredom. :)
Jersi struggles with staying asleep when no one is holding her - and since I'd really prefer to sleep without holding her, it makes for very rough nights. (Again the Game Show Network comes in handy here...)
Wow - this is sounding very complainy - sorry, not meaning to complain. She's absolutely wonderful and I'm so happy to have her.
On a funny side-note, My brother (James) and my sister (Penelope/Samantha) are currently serving missions. Whilst in the hospital I wrote them each an email about Jersi's arrival. My brother wrote back yesterday saying, "Stef, you sounded doped up on drugs! Were you? I hope you were cuz that's funny!" Hilarious! I was doped up on drugs - Morphine and percoce - when I wrote to him... Wonder what I said that clued him in... At least he realized it was the drugs talking and didn't assume it was just my retarded self. Hilarious.
P.S. Row (Kamron's dad) was down to see her yesterday and he said the best thing I've ever heard - he said she looks like me! I love it!! With the last two everyone has always said they look just like Kamron - so it's great that this one may quite possibly look like me (although I swear she looks like Oaks) Love it.
P.P.S. Sorry, still no pictures of Morrissa or Kimmi (who just showed up and moved back in on Saturday) holding Jersi. I'll hafta get on that.

Riding my Bicycle

We recently got Oaklee a new bike at a yard sale - it's super tiny, super cute and has training wheels... After bringing it home, I turned around for 2 seconds and Tona had climbed up on Oaks new bike! This little Dude has no fear!! (And isn't he cute??)

I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty

Every other sunday, Tate and Kyndi get to spend time at gramma and grampa's house (the other kids are so jealous)
This past visit, Gramma and Kyndi got beautified by Kyndi's incredible make-up artist techniques...
First Kyndi did her own make up and then offered to do gramma's. (gramma did Kyndi's hair)
The first picture doesn't do it justice - she has purple eyeshadow clear up to her eyebrows...
As she was doing my mom's make-up she apparently got slightly out of control and decided to make her into a clown. Hence no picture of gramma's finished makeup. What a good sport gramma is! (Take note in the 3rd picture, Kyndi's hand resting on top of my mom's. This is my mom's favorite thing in these pictures. So cute)
And... I mentioned in a previous post that Tate has been staying up in Davis County with his dad... Whilst there, Sharli took him on a date - here is a picture of that event...
