Battle in the Flower Bed

Every Spring I am delighted to see my tulips (that I never even planted) sprouting and blooming.  Never have I been able to get to the flowers for a picture before they were picked by the Littles.  This year I talked to the Littles and made sure they understood 100% that they are not supposed to touch y flowers.  It worked!!  I headed outside to take a picture of the yellow and red assortment - and I stumbled upon this...

What on earth happened???  They were gorgeous just this morning!!  Within seconds I knew the source of the problem...
