My Buddy

Me: I love you, you're my buddy!
Dayton: Ya and you're my girl!
CUTE

Peeky-Do

Jersi has learned to play Peeky-do... most would argue that this is actually called 'peek-a-boo' but in this house (that is mostly ruled by the littles) it is called Peeky-do. (Just ask Dayton)

(Pretty sure the Wii-mote is amongst her favorites right now...)

Oh-whoa

"Oh-Whoa" is Jersi-speak for "oh-oh"  She uses it most when doing this:

She finds everything in site - balls, cars, Wii-motes, wipes packages, garbage, clean laundry, etc. and throws them one by one down the stairs. "Oh-whoa" and then she scrambles to find something else.  I love that she does this - just wish she wouldn't tip over garbage cans to find stuff to throw!

He IS My Kid!!

I am certain I have mentioned before that Dayton is the spittin-image of his dad.. He looks like his dad, talks like his dad, walks exactly like his dad, Has his dad's attitude... If I wasn't pregnant with the kid, I'd question being his mom... until now...  He can do something I can do and Kamron can't! (Woot)

(and if you are thinking to yourself, "isn't that the same shirt he's had on for every picture lately?" You'd be correct - this is his 'go-to' shirt. He loves it or something)

Jumping Jacks II

The Littles wanted to show Daddy how much fun they have - he has Monday's off so we brought him along with us.  I think he had as much fun as the Littles did!

Kamron and Jersi climbed to the top of the slide - I thought he was going to go down with her - nope! He sent her by herself!  (But that's nothing - he later sent her down the huge slide! and her face was total panic!)
Then he sent Dayton down   (and somehow I missed he himself coming down...)
Crawling with Jersi was perhaps the highlight of her time there.

Well hello there Kamron! (i LOVE this picture!)
Isn't she just cute?!

Cute, and Cute.

(And yes, his face is always messy)
her nose scrunch that I love so much!!

Jumping Jacks

No, I'm not talking about those treacherous exercises... There's a company near us that has all sorts of bouncy houses and slides (and even an obstacle course) for the kids to run around, jump, and climb on.  I got a month pass a while back for super cheap and just activated it this past week.  I decided it'd be a good outing for the Littles whilst the Biggers are at school...
Boy did they have fun!!  Even Jersi was climbing all over, squealing up a storm!  And it wore Dayton right out, which is very beneficial come "quiet time" back at home!

Oaklee
 Oaklee
Dayton going up, Oaks coming down
Dayton running full speed to the next thing
This is Jersi and Dayton - I took this picture to show that even the walls weren't safe from Dayton
Dayton fighting the big ol' giraffe
Dayton loved throwing himself at the walls and bouncing off them - this is right after doing such.
Jersi at first was none too thrilled to be put inside a bouncy toy...
But she soon realized what fun it could be for her
She'd stand at the wall where I was, then frantically crawl to the other side whilst slippin and sliding and squealing all the way there.

No idea how I captured this face - she wasn't mad - she was yelling in chaos as she lasered all around
Fun time!  Now onto Nap Time/Quiet Time!!

A Whole Bunch At Once

This is how Jersi rides in a cart - she stretches her arms clear across to hold onto both sides at once.
Jersi has recently discovered the excitement of sitting in chairs

After running a variety of errands, Dayton fell asleep with Jersi's car seat as his pillow - Jersi was not a fan. At. All.  She kicked him over and over - and he just kept sleeping...
Penelope (known to most as Sam) recently visited and got a chance to pose with Simba

Little Dude just being his cute little self - right before we cut his hair...
Dayton is a total mimic... This picture is super blurry - but Tyson kept doing football moves and Dayton would copy every single one of them.  (unitl he caught on that we were watching)
I recently went on an apartment seeking adventure with my bestie, Triple C - we found many random things... an invisible apartment complex, a tire on the side of the road and this: (The Up house from Disney's movie Up!)(I believe it was made as a Make-A-Wish house in Herriman)

Sme random shots of Jersi sitting in chairs whilst she and I waited for yet another quote on our broken vehicular.3

What?!

I came to sit down and blog and according to my records I am all caught up.  Is this even possible? Wow. Guess it helps to finally have 3 weeks off from school.
I still have a whole week left too!  I have New Student Orientation this coming Tuesday - but then I don't start my Grad School program until the following Tuesday.
Let it be noted in my final block at Uvu I pulled a 4.0 !!  Woot! I am very excited about this.
I'll be starting my grad school program at Argosy University (in Draper) working on a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy.  I have a few friends who will be attending with me, and that calms my nerves on the whole thing in a huge way.  And even though my bestie is moving away from me - she and I should still be able to study together from time to time (it's ok Triple C, I'll forgive you)

Anywho - this post is a bunch of rambling - but at least you know where my life is headed...
...And actually, I just stumbled across some pictures I have not yet posted... guess I'll get on that soon...

Bathtub Mishap

This is what a one year old looks like who has just fallen into a bathtub full of water - to be immediately rescued by her three year old brother and now I'm not sure if she's more upset about nearly drowning or the fact that she can't play in the water. Either way, she's screaming! (And I'm so proud of Dayton)

I had just bathed the Littles and Jersi - I set off to get Jersi and Dayton dressed and came back to wash Oaklee's hair.  While doing that, I lost Jersi.  She had gotten downstairs and into the pantry...  So I decided it is time to set up the baby gate. As I was adjusting the gate Oaklee got herself outta the tub and was in her room getting dressed.
Next thing I know Dayton's yelling "Mom, Jersi fell in!" I pretty much threw the baby gate and went running as I heard splashing about and choking noises which tells me Oaklee forgot to drain the tub, and/or shut the bathroom door.  In the 5.8 seconds it took me to get to the bathroom - Dayton had reached in and pulled her out. As soon as he saw me he burst into tears "It wasn't my fault - I didn't do anything"  He was all panicky about her falling in the tub.  I told him "You just saved your sister's life!" The tears were replaced with a smile and he hugged me.  Jersi was screaming at this point - and coughing off and on - but seemed to be ok.  She continued screaming for 5 minutes or so and banged on the bathroom door - apparently he pulled her out before she was done playing!
I'm so proud of Dayton and his quick thinking rescue skills! He's very protective of his baby sister - anytime he feels she's in danger (like whenever she's near the stairs) He gets someone's attention to get her moved. Love that little dude - and I'm so glad he was watching her!!

Cray.ol.a.

I recently stumbled upon some delightful crafts on Pinterest that I thought I may like to try. (and by "some" I mean roughly 87 or so...)
I had the overwhelming urge to be crafty, so here's the craft I chose:
I love, love, love it!! So easy too!
*First hot-glue crayons in whatever color order you choose in a straight line accross the top of a canvas (I used a thin canvas I had stashed in my craft room - originally from Walmart - 16x20, pkg of 3)
*I put them so that all the color names were facing up.
*Next I propped it up in my bathtub (in case of splatters) and put a paper beneath it to catch colorful wax puddles
*I happened to use my Heat gun (for embossing) but you can use the high heat (but low power) setting on your hair dryer.  (I say low power because once the wax gets melty, the air blows it all over if it is blowing too hard)
*It's practically instant gratification!  The crayon papers got shiny and within seconds they were dripping!
*You can kinda play around with your heat tool and guide the wax a bit if you like.
*Voila!!

That was so much fun, I next did this:

Love it!!  (Those are flowers (and butterfly) from my wedding bouquet)
Every kid in my house wants their very own - so I'll get busy making those soon too.  Seriously though, so much fun! And it completely mesmerizes the kids!!  Do it, you'll love it!!

Now I need to venture to the dollar store for a frame and then I gotta find some spare wall space to hang these...
