Finally a Christmas post...

There are many things to tell you about Christmas.

I'll start right here. --> e

First off, I've already written about both Kyndi and Morrissa's dance performances, but let me tell you about Oaklee's performances... Yes, Oaklee is only 19 months old, but she has Kyndi's 'Frosty the Snowman' routine memorized. At every Christmas party we attended this year Kyndi would put on her little tap shoes and do her dance for everyone. She was always quickly overshadowed though by Oaklee, who rushed at the chance to dance too. She'd stand right up next to Kyndi and do the routine. It was so stinkin cute!! There were a couple parts she couldn't do real well so she'd improvise either by jumping (she "jumps" by lifting one leg high in the air and stomping it down) or stand with her head on the floor (two hands and a head on the floor, make sense??) She's such a character! And at one party, she wouldn't leave the stage, she just kept dancing to no music and no audience, but she didn't notice, she thought she was the center of everyone's attention. Here are the pictures of her stealing the show:

At my mom's Christmas party on Christmas Eve, we had a special visitor and everyone got a chance to sit on his lap (even Kamron):

Oaklee was not a fan of Santa

Kamron said maybe Santa should have sat on his lap

This is when Santa first walked in, it freaked Kyndi right out

...My camera was nice enough to allow the batteries to die right as Dayton's turn came up - so I am patiently awaiting an email from my sister with such pictures... when those arrive I will post them...

Also at my mom's party the kids re-enacted the Nativity scene (and by kids I mean, my kids and all my brother's and sisters...except maybe Sharli who had her wisdom teeth removed on the 23rd. I know, perfect timing, right at Christmas time):

I had to throw this one in there because she's does the craziest smiles for the camera (This is Kyndi being an angel, and she's wearing her fairy-princess wings)

This is where Oaklee stole the Baby Jesus

Christmas day I'm not sure what exactly happened but I have no pictures. The three oldest kids all got Nintendo DS's from Santa, Kyndi got an FP3 player (this is a fisher price brand mp3 player - it's awesome!) Oaklee got a baby and a stroller and Dayton got an Excer-saucer. The kids were ecstatic! We did finally go wake up Oaklee to see and open her presents, and when she saw her baby and stroller she couldn't have cared less about any other presents. We finally convinced her to come open her presents and she insisted on bringing her baby with her to sit on her lap. She finally got all her presents opened and she was so overjoyed that she left them all there and went and played with the seatbelt to her carseat that was in the house at the time.

...Oh wait, apparently I puled out my camera at some point, here are pictures of Dayton in his Saucer...

If I were to tell you I got a gift from Kamron that makes my arm hurt, what would you guess it to be?? Wrong. He gave me a Wii. I love it!!! We were playing the bowling game almost all of Christmas day and both our arms were mega sore the next day. Also with my Wii I got Mario Kart with 2 steering wheels, so we have race competitions with all the kids. Thats fun too. Kamron got a bunch of random stuff from me, but none of it even compares to the coolness of my Wii.

We have run into a Wii complication though... Jonathan gave Kamron a new Tomb Raider game for Christmas and ever since the 26th of December (when he opened and began playing) He has been glued to the tv playing that game, I'm talking wakes up, plays it, finally gets around to eating somethin, plays it, eats dinner, plays some more, until I finally remind him its late and time for bed... So I therefore only get to play my Wii in the early morning hours when the babies have woken me up and Kamron is still sleeping.

Okay, enough about Christmas for now. I still have many things to say, and my New Years Resolutions to write, but for now Kamron is pleading for me tpo help him figure out something on his game.

Bloggers Block?

Wow - apparently the holidays have de-blogged my mind or something... I am having trouble even blogging at all. I think it's probably due to having WAY to much to write about and not enough time or something like that. Let me think of all the topics I currently have:

My missing License plates

Oaklee's reaction to Christmas

What Kamron gave me for Christmas, and how much my arm hurts from it

Oaklee and her ingenious ideas

Memories of an old folks home

Oaklee craving the center of attention

Crazy/cute things Oaklee does these days

Kyndi turned 4

And besides all of that, I have millions of pictures to post and everyday new stories arise. Sheesh. When will I find the time to do all of this??

Not now, I have to make dinner.

Just throwing this out there... I'll get back to my regular blogging schedule later...

Anyone have a good cure for a migraine?? I am taking all suggestions at this time.

All I want for Christmas...

I’ve previously told about Kyndi who is an accident waiting to happen… Oaklee is just the opposite – she thinks she can try dare-devil stunts and she’ll remain invincible at all times. That all changed the other day…
As I was taking a nap Saturday afternoon, I was soon awakened by the sound of Oaklee crying. Tyson was carrying her into my room and she had blood running down her chin. I took her for investigation purposes and she stuck out her tongue with a piece of tooth on it. What?! I quickly found that she was now missing half of her front tooth. The story goes something like – she was jumping on Tyson’s bed and fell and smacked into the metal frame of the bunk bed. Tyson checked out his bed and found a scratch in the paint from her tooth.

Sadly my first response after taking her in my arms was, "now you'll have a silly smile until you're 6!" But it's a pretty cute smile now too....

Success!!!

I am such a proud mom in this moment. My kids decided to go play in the snow and my immediate thought was "We all know how this will turn out". They got dressed and off they went. Twenty minutes later they were still outside!! Am I sure these are my kids? Then another 15 minutes later this is what I found in the yard...

Even after that picture was taken they kept playing and playing, and a few minutes later I found them across the street looking alot like this:

Wow, what a proud moment.

Update

For all those that were worried, my camera was located friday night in Kamron's car. Thank you for all those who called the hotline with tips.

Frosty the Snowman

Kyndi's dance is tap dance. Her class was a ballet/tap combo, but for the performance they did tap. I was so glad cuz that's my favorite. They danced to Frosty the Snowman and it was really stinking cute!
On the first performance night, she knew all the dance moves and was way ahead of everyone else. While all the other girls were watching the teacher's every move, barely keeping up, Kyndi was ahead of the music and it was a total crack up!
On the second night, my parents, Kamron and all the kids came to watch and she was thrilled about that. She an even cuter performance this time. There is a part in the song when they hold hands and march around in a circle, at the point when her back was supposed to be towards us, she’d turn and look at the audience with the hugest smile on her face.
She loved every minute of it and showed absolutely no signs of stage fright. It was a ton of fun!

...On a side note: on the first night of her performance Kyndi was very quick to inform me that in order to be a real frosty the snowman she needs a stick poking out of her mouth like Frosty always does (his pipe)

Here are some other dance performance pictures:

Panic has set in

Missing:
Digital Camera
0' 2.5" tall
1 lb
Silver hair and lots of buttons
Goes by the name Alfee
If found please call 555-555-5555

Complete and utter panic. My camera is missing. I had it last night for the dance recital and now I have searched high and low to no avail. It has vanished. Dang it!!!! And right in time for all the wonderful camera-moments at Christmas.

Morrissa Lynn

Kyndi and Morrissa had their first dance recital last night, tonight they have another one. I just want to say, Kyndi's group of three year old was so stinkin cute!! They had all the mess-ups you'd expect a group of three years olds to have, and that made it all the cuter.

The real reason I am posting though is not really to tell you how stinking cute Kyndi is (because we are all well aware of this, right?) No, I am posting because I am so proud of Morrissa. She is in a hip-hop group with like 4 or 5 other people and their routine is pretty good. I am proud of Morrissa because many times I am not able to stay at her practices and watch, and at the performance my main focus was on getting Kyndi ready. Morrissa was kinda left to herself to get ready for the night. I am quite certain she was nervous as she has never performed on stage before, but if she was she never breathed a word of it to me. She got her costume on, came and said hi to me and went on her merry little way with her group. Next thing I knew of her, she was onstage dancin her little buns off. And let me tell you - she has some amazing moves in her performance!! She does a back bend flip over thingy and something else called a "stall" which is pretty much her standing on her head with her feet shooting to the side of her... sounds crazy, and it is. But she nailed it and I am proud of her. (The picture above is her stall. Please note: neither of her feet are touching the ground. I realize the picture shows one toe on the ground, but I was there and I assure you nothing of the sort occured in this picture.)

New jobs

We had a new rule-thingy start at our house today. There are 4 jobs written on paper and every wednesday they draw their "extra job" out of a hat (this is in addition to the weekly jobs they do)

The 4 jobs are: Cleaning all kitchen chairs, Cleaning the kitchen floor on hands and knees, Cleaning Family Room Floor on hands and knees, and thoroughly vacuuming the stairs. I realize these jobs my be way over Kyndi's abilities but it'll teach her the dynamics or whatever anyways. So we drew jobs today for the first time. Tate volunteered his own hat for the drawing, as he was super excited for some strange reason. They all drew their jobs and quickly got to work (have I ever mentioned how good my kids are?) Kyndi drew "Clean family room floor on hands and knees" I walked that direction a few minutes later and this is what I found:

She thought "on hands and knees" meant there should be a rag beneath each hand and knee and then you wash the floor that way. Too stinkin cute!!

Salem Ponds

The town next to ours is called Salem and there is a lovely little park there with giant ponds and bridges and in the summer there are many ducks to feed too. At Christmas time this park gets all decked out in lights and it’s so pretty. There is a road that goes all the way around the park, so you can drive and see all the lights.
We went there Sunday night to see the lights. It was so pretty. On some of the trees they have huge colored spotlights just shining up at the tree which results in the tree being all one color. (Usually green or purple). The bridge is all lit with bright white lights, its awesome. There’s a horse drawn carriage going around the park which adds to the festiveness of the place. But my favorite by far are the hundreds of trees that appear to be floating on the water. It looks so awesome, and all the lights reflect into the water. I love it. I attempted picture taking but being mobile in a car and it being dark outside, they didn’t come out clear, but I think they look incredibly cool nonetheless. See for yourself:

More Snow Time Fun

Again with the lack of talent in the snow-play category… The kids all went out on three separate attempts to make a snowman. Here is the final result:

Apparently it is not fun to make a snowman with cold snow (according to Kyndi)

More Magna-Doodle Art

This is Dayton:

This says “Tate” Kyndi came in my room last night and said, “look what I made!” I didn’t believe her. I thought someone else had done it. But nope, Tate told her what to write and she did it. I was so impressed by this one I had to take a picture

This morning she decided to try writing all the kids names. She did pretty well.
The first is Tate’s name again (she thinks his is the easiest) (Please forgive the fact that this one is sideways. On my computer it is the correct direction but everytime I load it, it comes up sideways)

They next one says Morrissa. (If you look closely all the letters are there, just a wee bit jumbled.

And the last picture says Tyson and then Kyndi right after it. (Pay no attention to the writing below…that was just me spelling them for her so she could write them.)

(She got too bored to attempt Oaklee and Dayton, but cut the girl some slack, there are “too many names in this family” as Kyndi pointed out.)

For those of you brimming with curiosity...

…I am happy to report, it is now many days later and Dayton is still sleeping through the night…

A reindeer at the birth of Jesus

Kyndi was recently at my mom’s house helping to put up Christmas decorations. She helped my mom get out and set up the Nativity Scene. She was quick to find Jesus and told my mom that’s who it was. Then she found a cow and exclaimed, “Look! It’s Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer!” She also apparently thought the angel was a fairy princess. Wow, I’ve taught her so well.

A few days after that we were driving to the store and I was talking to her about the true meaning of Christmas and she said, "Mom, that's the best idea. How about we invite Jesus to his birthday party after Christmas."

My Little Fashionista

Kyndi Lynne is so funny. She dresses herself at least three times a day. There are various reasons for this, sometimes she spills on herself, sometimes her shirt is "too scratchy" and other times (Like today) she decided that "my clothes didn't match eachother very good so I needed new ones on" Okay. Good reasoning. Here is her new outfit:

Take note: Pink on her tights, pink on her skirt, pink in symbol on her jacket.

Here are a few of the other outfits I've enjoyed in the past week:

This is the Dora costume/new tutu from Jen combo (And of course Oaklee with the new Diaper and a tie look that is all the rage in Zimbabwe right now...)
This is the "Shirts bug me" outfit
